Prompt Two: "Silent Screams"
Poem Type: Sonnet
Silent Screams
I open my mouth but not a sound comes out,
Like I’m choking on fear but nothing blocks my throat,
What I would give for someone to here my shout,
And in my ears I can hear the sound of you gloat,
It would seem you don’t care about the pain inside,
About the darkness dragging me down,
If it weren't for the pain I’d swear I’d have died,
And here I hoped these feelings would drown,
I walk fast with my head hung low,
And heavy burning tears in my eyes,
I suppose it's impossible to glow,
When all your light dies,
So I continue to scream my silent screams,
And never will I be heard it seems,
